Annoncé au départ pour fin 2016 avant d’être retardé au premier trimestre 2017, pour finalement se voir à nouveau reporté à une date inconnue (mais avant mars 2018 apparemment, c’est déjà ça), le nouveau RPG South Park subit un développement plutôt chaotique.

De fait, suite aux nombreux reports de ce South Park: L’Annale du Destin, Ubisoft a décidé, sans aucune demande de la part des joueurs, de rembourser automatiquement toutes les précommandes, comme en témoignent des utilisateurs de NeoGAF.

Autant dire que si Ubi agit de la sorte, c’est que son titre ne va pas sortir tout de suite… mais on aimerait quand même avoir une explication officielle sur les raisons de ce double report qui nous inquiète énormément!

South Park 2: Following the inopportune delays, Ubi refunds the précos automatically!

Announced at the beginning for the end of 2016 before being delayed in the first quarter 2017, for finally seeing itself again deferred to an unknown date (but before March 2018 apparently, it is already that), new RPG South Park undergoes a rather chaotic development.

In fact, following the many carryforwards of this South Park: The Annal of the Destiny, Ubisoft decided, without any request on behalf of the players, to refund all automatically the précommandes, as testify some to the users of NeoGAF.

As much to say that if Ubi acts of the kind, it is that its title will not leave immediately… but one would like nevertheless to have an official explanation on the reasons of this double carryforward which worries us enormously!

Le Youtubeur Seaniccus, fan de The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, est persuadé avoir trouvé un vibrant hommage à Satoru Iwata, l’ancien PDG de Nintendo décédé en juillet 2015, dans son jeu fétiche.

En effet, il est tombé sur un NPC nommé Botrick qui arbore une ressemblance physique non négligeable avec Iwata San, mais ce n’est pas tout! En effet, Botrick est très prévenant vis à vis de Link et le met en garde contre les dangers d’Hyrule. Si vous continuez à discuter avec lui, il vous parlera de la Montagne Satori et du Seigneur de la Montagne.

Il n’y a pas de quête associée à cet endroit, mais il recèle un lieu terriblement reposant, avec un point d’eau et un cerisier en fleur. Idéal pour un repos… éternel.

Sincèrement, les arguments du Youtubeur sont plus que convaincants et nous sommes persuadés qu’il s’agit bel et bien d’un hommage à Satoru Iwata, dont la disparition soudaine a beaucoup affecté l’équipe de développement de Zelda. Nous n’avons donc plus qu’une chose à dire: « Reposez en paix, Iwata San, et merci pour tout ce que vous avez apporté au monde du jeu vidéo! »

Zelda BotW: A NPC offers a vibrating homage to fire Satoru Iwata, the former chairman from Nintendo

Youtubeur Seaniccus, fan of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, is persuaded to have found a vibrating homage to Satoru Iwata, the former chairman from Nintendo deceased in July 2015, in its game fetish.

Indeed, it fell on a NPC named Botrick which raises a considerable physical resemblance to Iwata San, but it is not all! Indeed, Botrick is very attentive with respect to Link and warns against the dangers of Hyrule. If you continue to discuss with him, he will speak to you about the Satori Mountain and the Lord of the Mountain.

There is no search associated with this place, but it conceals a place terribly resting, with a water supply point and a cherry tree in flower. Ideal for a rest… eternal.

Sincerely, the arguments of Youtubeur are more than convincing and we are persuaded that it is indeed about a homage to Satoru Iwata, whose sudden disappearance has much affected the development team of Zelda. We have thus nothing any more but one thing to say: “Rest in peace, Iwata San, and thank you for all that you brought to the world video game!”

Parmi les nouveautés de Zelda Breath of the Wild, Link ne porte plus son chapeau iconique, mais d'autres chapeaux sont disponibles. Le directeur artistique du jeu, Satoru Takizawa, explique pourquoi.

Pour faire court : ça ne faisait pas beau. Satoru Takizawa a exposé son point de vue sur Zelda Breath of the Wild au cours de la Game Developers Conference 2017 de San Francisco. Cet opus est une bouffée d'air frais dans la série avec notamment son monde ouvert gigantesque et son système de points de capacité que vous pouvez redistribuer en milieu de partie. Satoru Takizawa a par exemple expliqué que comme la qualité graphique a augmenté, il devient plus difficile de faire en sorte que ce chapeau ait l'air cool. En effet, Zelda Breath of the Wild devenant plus réaliste, il est difficile de présenter le chapeau classique de Link de manière plus attrayante. Il n'applique pas cet argument qu'au dernier opus de la série, mais aussi aux autres jeux sortis ces dix dernières années. Le directeur artistique avait alors testé des solutions, seulement celles-ci avaient entraîné des critiques qu'il a souhaité éviter avec Zelda Breath of the Wild.

En effet, Satoru Takizawa prend l'exemple de Twilight Princess sorti en 2006 dans lequel le chapeau de Link avait été modifié. Le chapeau avait été allongé pour qu'il puisse se balancer selon les mouvements du personnage, mais beaucoup de joueurs se demandaient alors ce qui pouvait bien y avoir dedans et le comparaient à un tentacule. L'autre exemple qu'il propose est donc Skyward Sword, où cette fois il avait tenté de faire l'inverse et de réduire la taille du chapeau, mais du coup celui était beaucoup moins dynamique.

Bien qu'il y ait eu un gros effort développé pour jouer avec les conventions du design de Link dans Zelda Breath of the Wild, certaines choses restent immuables et font que Link est Link. Takizawa a ainsi avancé le fait que l'âme du personnage était d'abord celle d'un samouraï, ainsi l'essence du personnage n'est pas dans ses vêtements. Il est en revanche logique de conserver ses oreilles pointues et son apparence Hylian, étant donné que c'est ce qui marque ses origines.

Among the innovations of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Link does not wear any more its iconic hat, but of other hats are available. The art director of the game, Satoru Takizawa, explains why.

To make short: that did not make beautiful. Satoru Takizawa exposed his point of view on Zelda Breath of the Wild during the Range Developers Conference 2017 of San Francisco. This opus is a puff of fresh air in the series with in particular its gigantic open world and its system of points of capacity which you can redistribute in medium of part. Satoru Takizawa for example explained that as graphic quality increased, it becomes more difficult to make so that this hat looks cool. Indeed, Zelda Breath of the Wild becoming more realistic, it is difficult to present the classical hat of Link in a more attractive way. It does not apply this argument that to the last opus of the series, but also to the other games left these ten last years. The art director had then tested solutions, only those had involved criticisms which it wished to avoid with Zelda Breath of the Wild.

Difficult to look cool when your hat does not enter even any more within the framework.

Indeed, Satoru Takizawa takes the example of Twilight Princess left in 2006 in which the hat of Link had been modified. The hat had been lengthened so that it can be balanced according to the movements of the character, but much of players wondered then what could well there have inside and compared it with a tentacle. The other example which he proposes is thus Skyward Sword, where this time he had tried to make the reverse and to reduce the size of the hat, but as a result that was much less dynamic.

Although there was a large effort developed to play with conventions of the design of Link in Zelda Breath of the Wild, certain things remain immutable and make that Link is Link. Takizawa has thus advanced the fact that the heart of the character was initially that of a samurai, thus the petrol of the character is not in his clothing. It is on the other hand logical to preserve its pointed ears and its Hylian appearance, since it is what marks its origins.
